Client: Malaysia Timber Council (MTC)
Industry: Trade promotion
Client Background:
MTC promotes the sale of Malaysian timber and associated products worldwide. Its activities are managed by regional centres in Kuala Lumpur, London, Dubai and Shanghai. MTC required a marketing system which would be fully operational, regardless of time zone differences, across its four regional centres.
Process:
We placed teams in the Kuala Lumpur and London offices to understand the requirements from both a head office and regional perspective. Each regional centre has responsibility for attending and hosting promotional events, marketing mail shots and handling enquiries. This information had to be linked to the central store of suppliers and manufacturers of Malaysian Timber products.
The Kuala Lumpur office needed to assimilate all the regional information for management purposes and to submit detailed information to the Malaysian Government.
Delivered:
A global marketing system that can work and share information across multiple locations that are not connected by a private network, but which have internet access.
Achieved:
Due to the time zone difference, we were able to work in shifts from the Kuala Lumpur and London offices and complete a total solution in less than two weeks. We then trained the MTC technical staff to oversee the installations in Dubai and Shanghai.
